Welcome to Online Therapy Counselling. By accessing our website, booking a session, or engaging in counselling services with us—either in-person or online—you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read this document carefully before proceeding.

1. Service Overview

Online Therapy Counselling offers psychological support and therapeutic services for individuals seeking personal growth, emotional wellbeing, and mental health care. Sessions may be conducted in person at our Gold Coast location or virtually via secure telehealth platforms.

Our services are not a substitute for emergency or crisis support. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services on 000 or reach out to your nearest crisis support service.

2. Eligibility for Services

You must be 18 years of age or older to use our services, unless a parent or guardian has provided written consent. By booking a session, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Appointments, Fees, and Cancellations

Appointments

All sessions must be booked in advance. We offer both face-to-face and online counselling options.

Fees

Session fees will be clearly outlined at the time of booking. Payment is required before or at the time of service. We reserve the right to update fees with prior notice.

Cancellations

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in the full session fee being incurred. Exceptions may apply for emergencies at our discretion.

4. Confidentiality

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all client information. All personal and clinical information shared during sessions is kept private by our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Confidentiality may only be breached if:

  • There is a risk of harm to yourself or others
  • There is a legal obligation (e.g., a court subpoena)
  • You provide written consent to share information with another party

5. Online Counselling

Virtual sessions are conducted through secure platforms to ensure confidentiality and privacy. You are responsible for ensuring you have a safe, private, and distraction-free environment for online appointments.

We are not liable for technical disruptions caused by internet outages or equipment failures on your end. In the event of a significant disruption, we will do our best to reschedule or resume the session.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide professional and effective counselling services, we make no guarantees regarding outcomes. Counselling is a collaborative process, and results can vary from person to person.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Online Therapy Counselling and its practitioners are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services.
