Yes. Everything shared in your sessions is kept confidential, with the exception of situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others. Your safety, privacy, and comfort are always respected.
Not at all. There is no timeline for grief. Many people seek support months or years after a loss, especially if they feel stuck, emotionally disconnected, or as though their pain was never fully acknowledged.
In session, you’ll be supported to talk openly about your experience of loss. Your counsellor will help you understand your emotions, identify healthy coping strategies, and explore the impact of grief on your life and relationships—without judgment or pressure.
You might benefit from counselling if you’re feeling overwhelmed by sadness, unable to function in daily life, struggling with unresolved emotions, or feeling stuck in your grief. Support is helpful whether your loss was recent or happened long ago.
Grief and loss counselling provides emotional support and guidance after the death of a loved one or other significant losses (such as miscarriage, divorce, or loss of identity or purpose). It offers a compassionate space to process your grief and find ways to move forward at your own pace. Grief counselling helps you express difficult emotions, reduce isolation, and find meaning in your loss. It can ease feelings of guilt, anger, or confusion, while supporting your emotional wellbeing and helping you reconnect with life after loss.
We work with individuals of all ages—whether you’re a young adult, parent, or senior navigating loss. Each counselling plan is tailored to your personal experience, stage of life, and the unique nature of your grief.
Fees vary depending on the type of service. We accept major debit and credit cards, and receipts can be provided for eligible private health claims. Please contact us directly for current rates and payment options.
Yes, we offer both. You can choose in-person sessions at our Gold Coast clinic or secure virtual sessions from your home—whatever feels right for you. Online grief counselling can be just as effective as in-person support. It offers convenience, flexibility, and the comfort of accessing care from your own space.
Many clients begin with weekly sessions to provide consistency and emotional support during difficult times. Over time, the frequency can be adjusted based on your needs, comfort, and progress.
Your first session is a gentle space to talk about your loss, how it’s affecting your life, and what you hope to gain from counselling. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll move at your pace and begin shaping a supportive plan for healing.
